Graham Village

Global Markets Editor

London

I started in the insurance industry in 1981 at the Mercantile & General Reinsurance Co where I was an assistant underwriter in the marine and aviation department. In 1985 I moved into journalism, working on Post Magazine and also Reinsurance Magazine, where I became editor.

I worked briefly at Lloyd’s List before joining Jim Bannister’s DYP Group, writing and editing various insurance newsletters. I have now worked for Informa since 1995, editing insurance newsletters such as the Re Report before joining Insurance Day in 2009.

My brief as global markets editor is to cover more detailed stories for the publication, tapping into the statistical information and data that the insurance industry provides but does not always publicise. I handle data-based content such as Companies House.
