Congestion worsens as Ningbo terminal remains shut

More containerships are at anchor off Ningbo-Zhoushan and Shanghai. Some affected vessels are being directed further away for transhipment to avoid the expected logjam

The port has conducted the third round of swab tests for people in the affected area. This is normally the last round of tests before a blocked production facility in China can be reinstated if all results are negative. Precautionary measures at the port have further tightened, adding clots to the already congested shipping veins
