Singapore backs ammonia-fuelled tanker project
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and leading fertiliser company Yara International are the latest partners to join the alliance to build ammonia-fuelled tankers. The Joint Development Project has been renamed The Castor Initiative
Ammonia is seen as a leading future fuel as the maritime industry looks to meet its greenhouse gas emissions goals. With the addition of the two latest partners, the alliance now has representation from all areas of the maritime ecosystem
