NYK joins floating gas storage and power generation project in Papua New Guinea
The FSRP will have the capacity to generate 75 MW of power to be exported to the Pacific country's transmission grid. The Japanese line will be involved in its design, development and engineering
As well as generating electricity, the FSRP will be able to load and store 140,000 cu m of liquefied natural gas that can be offloaded onto small-scale vessels and redistributed locally, as well as being regasified for transmission via a pipeline
