Yangzijiang secures 24,000 teu newbuilds linked to MSC and Bocomm

The carrier and lessor have teamed up on orders for a total of six 24,000 teu ships placed at three Chinese yards. Previous orders were placed with two yards under China State Shipbuilding Corp

Chinese builder says the pair represents the largest vessels in its boxship portfolio and is ‘a significant step up’ from the current product line of 10,000 teu, 12,690 teu and 14,000 teu vessels. The orders will also help it open doors for more opportunities in the ultra-large shipbuilding market
