Samarco operations restart five years after dam rupture
Samarco, the Vale-BHP joint venture, has resumed activities. Operations were suspended in November 2015 after a tailings dam rupture that killed 19 people
The restart will be welcome news for the dry bulk market, especially the capesize segment, due to the anticipated extra iron ore volumes coming out of Brazil
