Indonesia stakes claim on Singapore’s bunker trade

National oil company Pertamina’s Sambu terminal has started trading compliant fuel oil, leveraging on the first batch of upgraded storage tanks. The terminal is set to receive its maiden shipment of LSFO this month right after delivering its cargo to a vessel passing through the Singapore Strait

‘We are only at the beginning stages of what is strategically possible as we work together with Pertamina to support its expansion into the international low-sulphur fuel oil markets,’ says Freepoint Commodities chief executive for Asia
