BIMCO reported a 27% reduction in the number of oil tankers passing through the Suez Canal in October. Coronavirus lockdowns seen hitting future consumption as restrictions expected to worsen
The reduced need for tankers follows falling demand for oil as European countries impose lockdown measures to ward off the coronavirus pandemic, as well as from the prospect of increased supplies of oil from nearby Libya
