Eastern Pacific joins biofuel bunker trial with GoodFuels
Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping is analysing and testing biofuel on its 2010-built, 47,400 dwt product tanker Pacific Beryl. The company is already implementing the use of LNG and LPG across 30 of their newbuildings, but needs to look at other options for its existing fleet
Eastern Pacific said it will test and analyse the residual-fuel equivalent biofuel on the ship, as well as on other Eastern Pacific-managed vessels in the future. Alternative marine fuels are seen as essential transitional fuels that will pave the way towards industry-wide decarbonisation
