Coronavirus: Singapore allows crew changes under special circumstances

Singapore had previously banned crew changes at the key Southeast Asian hub port. The MPA wants to address the needs of seafarers and will allow crew changes under special circumstances

Special circumstances will include a crew member having served maximum time on board and no further contract extensions being granted by the flag state. Exemptions also cover compassionate grounds and medical problems
