Coronavirus: Chinese ports face logjam over lack of trucks
Carriers have reported slow pickups of reefer boxes at ports in Shanghai, Ningbo and Tianjin amid the virus impact. A serious shortage of container truck drivers is said to be one of the main reasons, according to sources from port and truck firms
A Shanghai-based truck company estimates that about 90% of the container truck drivers serving the ports of Shanghai and Ningbo have not yet returned to work affected by travel bans and quarantine rules
