PSA Marine tests autonomous tug

The collaboration with Wärtsilä has moved on to trial phase following the successful installation of its unique Dynamic Positioning system on board a PSA Marine harbour tug and gaining approvals from Lloyd’s Register’s for its Dynamic Positioning system. On-the-water trials are now being carried out in the port of Singapore under real-world conditions

The IntelliTug project is a collaboration between the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, PSA Marine and Wärtsilä to develop a habour tug with autonomous capabilities. It aims to boost safety standards for vessel automation and autonomy
