Equinor sells Johan Sverdrup field first oil to Sinopec

The first cargo will consist of one million barrels of oil with a market value of around $60m, while future cargoes are expected to be in parcels of around a half million to two million barrels of crude. The North Sea field is expected to produce 440,000 bpd of oil when Phase 1 reaches peak production

The Johan Sverdrup Phase 1 production came onstream on October 5 and was expected to ramp up quickly with eight production wells already drilled or in the process of being drilled
