Thoresen Thai posts lower second-quarter profit
The Thailand-based shipowner has reported a $2.7m net profit for the second quarter of 2019, which is a decline from the year-earlier period. The fleet outperformed the adjusted market time charter average Baltic Supramax Index by 16% and earned a daily time charter equivalent of $9,385 per day
The company expects the Baltic Dry Index to continue its upward trend for the remaining quarters of the year
