Gibraltar extends detention period for seized tanker

In the wake of Grace 1 being boarded by British marines, the Panama Maritime Authority has sought to exclude itself from the situation by claiming it had kicked the vessel off its register on May 29 when it realised it fell under the criteria of being linked to terror financing

Gibraltar has been granted an application to extend the detention of the Grace 1 tanker for another 14 days. An Iranian official has said a British vessel should be seized in retaliation.
