Largest LNG hub in the Philippines approved
The Department of Energy has granted approval for a First Gen Corp-Tokyo Gas partnership to start building an LNG import hub in Batangas City. The biggest of three LNG import terminals to be built in the next five years will boast a nameplate capacity of between 3m and 5m tonnes per annum
First Gen Corp, the parent of local partner FGEN LNG, is a major power industry player in the Philippines and operates four gas-fired power plants with a combined capacity of 2,000 megawatts
