Jaxport approves deal for new container terminal

The Jacksonville Port Authority has approved a $238.7m deal with tenant SSA Marine that will fund the construction of a new container terminal at nearby Blount Island. The 80-acre terminal is to be completed by 2023 and will benefit from the port’s harbour deepening project, which is expected to finish the same year
