Greek companies fined $4m for oil discharges at US ports
The owner and operator of Greece-flagged Nicos IV must serve four years' probation as well as paying a fine after admitting several illegal discharges of oil near ports in Texas. The vessel’s master and chief officer face up to five years in prison after pleading guilty to making multiple false statements to the US Coast Guard
