Migrants forced off cargo ship in Libya

The Libyan Coast Guard raided the Panama-flagged vehicle carrier Nivin at the port of Misrata and used rubber bullets and tear gas to evict at least 79 migrants and refugees that had been on the ship for 10 days. Injuries were reported and the UN and Humans Right Watch criticised the operation

Nivin earlier rescued 95 people who had been on board a boat that sank in international waters off the Libyan coast
