Panama Canal lifts restrictions on LNG transits

Expanded waterway will allow LNG shippers to reserve two slots per day in different directions from October, the authority’s deputy administrator Manuel Benitez says. It comes as LNG transit volume is expected to rise to 11.2m tonnes this year from 6.4m tonnes in 2017

The third set of locks will allow night transits and vessels to navigate Gatun Lake at the same time
