Shipping could face low-sulphur fuel oil shortfall
Refining consultant predicts that there will not be enough low-sulphur fuel oil for shipping needs come 2020 when the new IMO regulations on lower emissions take effect.
While the shipping community is relying on refiners to supply the required amounts of low sulphur fuel oil, there may be an initial shortfall of some 2m bpd, according to Wood Mackenzie estimates
