Japan targets ageing Asean fleet with financial incentives to build
Japan is persuading small owners in Southeast Asia to adopt its Joint Ownership Shipbuilding Scheme to finance their newbuildings, as many countries in the region are having an old fleet that needs to be retired.
The move comes as a large part of the Asean countries attempt to expand their fleets and renew aged vessels
