IMO unable to agree early on a carbon strategy

Four days of negotiations at the International Maritime Organization failed to yield a decision on five year greenhouse gas emissions reduction strategy. The Marine Environment Protection Committee will have to converge a highly divided plenary for a strategy next week.

The IMOs intersessional Working Group has not reached an agreement on the strategy, including any kind of decarbonisation targets.
