POP art superstar Andy Warhol’s notorious 1968 dictum that “in the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes” was aimed at individuals rather than industrial sectors. But yesterday, British shipping got the next best thing to a spot on the X Factor, with the grant of a quarter of an hour of the prime minister’s time to push its case for greater government support for seafarer training.
