Chilean shipments drive up Caribbean MR rates
SHIPMENTS of US oil products to earthquake-hit Chile helped drive up spot rates for medium range product tankers operating from the Caribbean, while rates on all other main product tanker routes were described as “flat” by brokers, writes Martyn Wingrove.
