Eye in the sky
THE use of unmanned drones routinely deployed by the British and US military in war zones is one thing but recent press reports claiming that police in the UK planned to use the aerial spies for the “routine” monitoring of antisocial motorists, protesters, agricultural thieves and fly-tippers, caused much consternation particularly amongst the civil liberties lobby groups.
