Vizhinjam terminal plan draws big-name interest
JAPAN’S Marubeni Shipping, Singapore’s PSA International, Dredging International of Belgium and Danish shipping giant AP Moller-Maersk are among 28 companies that have requested proposal documents for the Rs53.48bn ($1.34bn) international transhipment container terminal due to be built at Vizhinjam, in the south Indian state of Kerala, writes Shirish Nadkarni.
