Grounded bulker delays traffic flow in Brunswick
A NAVIBULGAR bulk carrier grounded about nine miles east of the Brunswick Harbour entrance in Georgia over the weekend, writes David Osler. The incident occurred while Koznitsa (24,100 dwt, built 1984) was leaving the port of Brunswick on Saturday. According to reports from the scene, there were no injuries or pollution and the vessel was undamaged. However, a US Coast Guard official said: “The grounding did affect the traffic flow in the harbour.”‛
