Acute labour shortages affect yards in Romania
THE flood of trained workers from Romania’s shipyards to western Europe and elsewhere over the last three years is bringing the country’s industry to its knees, and has been linked to recent orders being cancelled at one of the country’s yards. But there might be some light at the end of the tunnel, and a European shipbuilding training college may help.
