US President George W Bush, right, is greeted by UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown as he arrived at 10 Downing Street in London yesterday. The two leaders met as oil prices surged once again to reach nearly $140 a barrel in New York trading, despite Saudi Arabia agreeing to increase output next month.
