AIC secures safe harbour warranty from Court of Appeal
THE Court of Appeal has held that the use of the words “safe port” in a voyage charter will always be treated as a warranty by charterers that the port in question is safe, even if owners and charterers have agreed in advance a single port for loading or discharge of cargo*, writes Alistair Feeney.
