Sugar to fuel the future
UNTIL the economic slowdown, commodities were a must-have for any aspiring investor’s portfolio. Except for one: sugar. Quite why the white stuff failed to ignite when it was being heralded ‘the new oil’ is surprising, but the principal culprit for this state of affairs must be market forces.
