Dry bulk downturn rocks world shipping shares
HUNDREDS of millions of dollars have been wiped off the value of the world’s listed shipping companies in several days as the Baltic Dry Index continues to tumble, losing a further 4.2% yesterday. The BDI has now lost about 30% since its mid-November peak, and slid 318 points on Tuesday to reach 7,336.
