Gas Market Report: 18 June 2009

LPG MARKETS: NORTH WEST EUROPE: Large cargoes: The large cargo propane market in NWE has fluctuated over the past week on the ups and downs of crude as both buyers and sellers get to grips with the supply and demand situation. Sellers are happy to hold on and await the buyers coming to the market, of which several are bidding for 1st decade cargoes, but not at the level that attracts the sellers to move, although one cargo was traded at $483/June -2 but for an end June cargo rather than a July one. Petchems are still seen as active buyers but are being taken out very quietly as they appear by sellers in the North and also with cargoes coming into the area. Prices are seen somewhere in the $480s but remain very unstable.
