IMF and World Bank demand Chinese solvency clampdown
China’s insurance regulator needs to bring to an end the continued issuance of new business by carriers with inadequate solvency levels if the market is to reverse a trend that has seen most of the insurers licensed in the country over the past decade continue to lose money.
