US Calcasieu Pass project secures LNG export approval for Asia
Venture Global LNG has won an authorising order from the US Department of Energy to export liquefied natural gas from Calcasieu Pass to non-free trade agreement nations including China, South Korea and Japan. The LNG project in Louisiana is expected to start operations in 2022 and has secured binding 20-year sale and purchase agreements with Shell, BP, Edison, Galp, Repsol and PGNiG
