Keppel O&M sees bright spots in FPSO conversions and scrubber retrofits

Chief executive Loh Chin Hua hails growing optimism in the offshore and marine sector, seeing opportunities in some segments despite recent oil price volatility and an $80.3m segment net loss for 2018. Gradually declining rig supply overhang, and increased tendering activity, also suggest improvements in the offshore rig sector, although a V-shaped recovery is not envisaged

The gas segment could also spark gains, Keppel noted, with global demand for gas, led by Asia, continuing to grow
