PSA planning 7m teu mega hub in Gdansk
Following its joint takeover of DCT Gdansk earlier this year, PSA is looking to position Gdansk as the ‘gateway to the Baltic’, using transhipment and hinterland opportunities to more than double box volumes to put it on par with the largest ports in Europe’s northern range
In support of PSA’s lofty ambitions, the Port of Gdansk Authority has also outlined plans to build ‘Euro Central Port’, a $3.1bn expansion which, in addition to further box capacity, would include passenger, offshore, LNG operations and shipbuilding capabilities
