Shipping emissions data must be reliable to be useful

A mistake discovered by a reader of the newly released EU MRV caused an important revision of the figures on Wednesday. In the day that has passed, the figures have changed again as data is being added and revised. The MRV would have the shipping industry believe that it is an insightful platform into shipping emissions.
