Maersk brings digital street turn service to US and Canada
Maersk will begin offering an automated, digital process for requesting street turns, a practice credited with reducing congestion and increasing port capacity. The platform is already active in many European countries and Mexico. The company says it can provide accurate, reliable responses in a matter of minutes. Elsewhere, other lines have introduced new fees for street turns
The platform already facilitates an average of 2,000 transactions a day in other countries and frees customers from the administrative hassle of making manual requests, Maersk says
