SMM: Lloyd’s Register debuts digital monitor of vessel parts
Digitalisation has long been promised as the answer in the quest to make class surveying less disruptive and more efficient. Lloyd’s Register claims to have taken a concrete step towards this goal offering a digital monitoring service via ‘digital twins’ that track the state of the vessel and its components in real time and could even predict component functionality in the future
