Inmarsat says IMO's maritime safety decision 'does not change landscape'
The decision by the International Maritime Organization's Maritime Safety Committee to recognise US-based Iridium's Global Maritime Distress and Safety System spells the end of Inmarsat's domination of the field. But the UK-based satellite telecoms group is confident that the commercial impact has been overestimated
