KSOE and Shell in fuel cell demonstration project

The solid oxide fuel cell will initially be used to run the auxiliary power unit of a Shell-operated LNG carrier. The findings from the one-year trial will be used to help HHI develop fuel cell-powered propulsion systems

Shell will operate and manage the trial vessel, Doosan Fuel Cell and Hiexium will develop and supply fuel cells, while DNV will conduct the necessary inspections for classification certification
