Small to medium-sized bulkers fare better than capes
Smaller-sized bulk carriers are trading at healthy levels despite some weakening this year. This compares with the biggest size category — the capes — which have been falling sharply
While capesizes have lost 70% in their spot earnings value since the start of the year, panamaxes are only down by 33%, handysizes are just 26% lower and supramaxes have declined by 25%
