One in 17 bulk carriers of the global fleet were anchored outside Chinese ports at the end of the past week, but the congestion that has led to the highest rates in more than a decade appears to be unwinding. Meanwhile, such is the jump in box charter rates, it is now cheaper to buy rather than charter a ship with tonnage in short supply
