UK gives new detail on seafarer vaccination plans

The one-shot Johnson & Johnson jab, while authorised in the UK, is not yet available there. A source said companies were timing visits so seafarers can receive two doses of the Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca vaccines

The UK is allowing vaccine doses to be given closer than eight weeks apart for seafarers with limited time in ports. Thousands of seafarers are said to have been vaccinated since the UK started offering jabs
