Carriers begin to skip closed terminal in Ningbo

Carriers have learnt lessons from the Yantian crisis, during which vessels wasted weeks waiting outside of the port before changing the direction. At least one ship has skipped Ningbo and more are expected to follow. Meanwhile, preliminary investigations suggest containment of the coronavirus infection in Meishan may be easier than the previous outbreak in Yantian that paralysed supply chains
