NYK joins Eneos green hydrogen supply project
The hydrogen will be delivered via a saturated hydrocarbon called methylcyclohexane. This substance is a liquid stored under normal temperature and atmospheric pressure. This means it can be stored and transported using the existing infrastructure and service capabilities in the petroleum and petrochemical industries
NYK and its partners plan to use 10,000 dwt-class chemicals tankers, instead of tanker containers adopted previously, for the Eneos project to test the commercial viability of these shipments
