Three missing after Japanese ro-ro collision with chemical tanker
The 6,800 dwt ro-ro vessel Byakko sank after colliding with the 3,481 dwt chemical tanker Ulsan Pioneer, with only nine of Byakko's 12 crew being rescued
The Japan-flagged, 2020-built Byakko collided with the 2016-built, Marshall Islands-flagged tanker Ulsan Pioneer off the coast of Ehime Prefecture, western Japan, at around 1155 hrs local time on May 27, according to a Lloyd’s List casualty report
