The Suez drama continues to play out despite Ever Given’s removal from the banks of the canal. The ship is now under arrest in Egypt with neither the ship nor, importantly, its cargo or the majority of its crew going anywhere, while compensation disputes for the blockage wrangle on. More good news for owners of large bulk tonnage, with capsize earnings going through the roof to lift the BDI to its highest levels in a decade, while the tanker doldrums look set to continue for the remainder of the year
